The Christmas Rush

Hi girls,

One week from tonight will be Christmas so I imagine everyone is scrambling to get a million things done. All my gifts are wrapped and ready to be packed up. Rob doesn't know it yet but he's carrying a second suitcase LOL! I figure I'll use it to bring home some of the goodies I find in the Fabric District.

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Cherish those moments you spend with your family and make every minute count. I'm so looking forward to spending time with the grand babies and and secretly praying that my oldest son Erik just might surprise me and fly over from Maui - it would be the first time we've all been together for Christmas in about 15 years. See you in the New Year!

thinking...thinking...

Hello AFFs!!! Well, arrived home today from being snowed in at daughter's house. It is only 36 degrees in my studio so guess I will work in the house today. I called in to work today so don't want to waste my free day! Anyway, I am thinking Christmas presents begun but not finished will take precidence (sp?) over my art book. I am anxious to get started on it and have quite a few ideas for it...but you know how that goes...once you begin these projects they take on a life of their own! Anyway friends, I know we will have great fun with this.

As of today I've still not begun to create my book - but like you all I have ideas brewing!! Anyone start yet?
I'm wondering... what media you will all be using? Will it be a mix of techniques or one?

Made some FabricPaper

A couple of weeks ago I made some Fabric Paper. It seems to have turned out but needs some enhancing, kind of boring. Thought I'd get to that this weekend, I woke up this morning only to realize once again the weekend disappeared and I was off to work!!!!

I am using it for a project that is due in the next few weeks...I better get to it...I'll post a photo when I'm finished.

Now it seems official!

Makes me want to get out my canvas and start painting and stitching! BUT ALAS I have things that must get done today. I am off Thanksgiving week and plan to begin my creative adventure!
