It is nice to hear from you.
Coll, I ...Hi friends!
It is nice to hear from you.
Coll, I know you possess the strength to deal with all life has thrown to you. Bask in the babies!
Nicki, your friend Kathy's story is very touching. Sad also.
I look forward to getting a book to work on!
BTW, Michael is doing very well at boot camp at Fort Sill, OK. He loves a challenge. I am relieved to know that he is certain the military was the right place for him now.

take care everyone

kathiKathihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12197195816929534487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2460320303153245447.post-28544780992815907972012-03-05T12:45:03.236-06:002012-03-05T12:45:03.236-06:00Hi Axel - Glad to hear that you are starting to fe...Hi Axel - Glad to hear that you are starting to feel better and getting along with life. I just can't imagine loosing a parent. I have 3 sets of ailing parents and it certainly has not been easy.

Denise - you've got to be so proud of yourself for sticking to all the hard work you've put in - way to go!

I have to apologize a million times over for being such a slacker on this project. Life has been insanely crazy not to mention the fact that my body has had a rough time over this winter. It looks like I'm going to have to give in and have to the hand surgery - not on one but both of them - OMG! Good thing is I'm told once done I coudl be at least 98% better.. this getting old sucks! I've had so many projects that needed to be done and I've been putting it off but I'm afraid if I put it off any longer my hands will get to a paint that they might not ever heal right.

I will try and finish up Charlyn's book this week and get it off to Kathi and then start work on Axels.

A lesson in life learned yesterday. My bestfriend Kathy from High School came over yesterday full of life, big smiles and lots of hugs. I thought it strange that she was telling me how much she loved me and how she cherished our friendship even though we don't get togther as much as we should (Life always gets in the way). Well an hour into our visit she looks at me and says "Barb, I'm dying...I've got maybe a year - maybe a bit more" She has been told she has an incurrable cancer. She said she wanted to visit with me becuase she kept putting things off for so long because she just figured we'd always be around to visit.. now she feels like she has to cram every bit of life into a 24 hour day. Her spirits are great - she's just worried about her husband and kids. I was her maid of honor in 1974 and her and Richie have been the happiest couple I've ever known. Just sucks... but her reasoning is "God has a better plan for her" Lesson to be learned...stop putting off things that you want to do - do them now.

Hugs ladies - love you all mucho!NickiLeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13904682849596921448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2460320303153245447.post-55902071589048120972012-03-05T12:43:44.083-06:002012-03-05T12:43:44.083-06:00Hi Axel - Glad to hear that you are starting to fe...Hi Axel - Glad to hear that you are starting to feel better and getting along with life. Losing a parent is a tough part of life and the grieving process can take its toll – my heart aches for you.

And yes, we do think that life will let up some & afford us some time to partake in the things that make us happy – sadly not always the case, lol. If I could stay awake past 8pm at night I may be able to get in some creative time and I don’t even have any grandkids yet!!

Wedding plans are in full swing as is my internship - All is going well on both fronts:)

Looking forward to pictures of the other books in progress. I still have a great start on Kathi’s book, but keep changing my mind on how I want to proceed – too many ideas:)Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10647288874669780867noreply@blogger.com
